ImportCar Video Shows Why It’s Important To Replace Your Air Ride Struts

In the publication’s January 2017 ‘Maintenance Minute’ video “Strut Wear On Air Ride Systems,” Babcox Media’s ImportCar Magazine Editor Andrew Markel shows the inner parts of a typical air strut.

Markel explains that more than just an air bladder can wear out on today’s luxury vehicle air struts including the internal damper’s piston, the piston seal and the sides of the shock’s tubing — which can cause leaking and loss of ride control — and the electronic orifice which controls the active damping compression and rebound valving characteristics.
